been a long time there hasnt been this much going on in crypto at the same time hip3 fees raise uni v4 experiments ethereum eips (native rollups + issuance) tokenized stocks growth robinhood chain arc mainnet blackrock tokenized money market feels gud
many projects would have created more value without ever launching a token who wants to build on a chain whose token is down 95%? tokens can be an incredible acquisition tool we all agree, but it can also destroy your brand, scare builders, hurt hiring, etc in many cases no token is the better product decision a project can ever make
real question: why do an airdrop if you dont need a token and already make revenue?
took time to digest this article and i read a few things: > ansem is touching on a new asset class ive seen on my timeline for a bit: cultural assets the larger bet is that cultural relevance can itself become a financial asset. that's a much bigger ambition than "launch a token" > the key is adding utility if you want long term relevance mention of protocol partnerships, fee sharing, staggered airdrop, social network of token holders (?) whether all of that works is another question but imo the direction is much healthier than relying purely on speculation > im not convinced the playbook is replicable ansem is a very specific example. he has 10y of reputation, credibility in crypto, massive engaged audience, a product with bullpen, a media with market bubble that creates a whole system that can reinforce the token there might only be 5 people on earth able (and willing?) to pull this off --- anyway it is an interesting thesis :)) most interesting sentence: "I am going to create a diversified social network of token holders that will be extremely valuable for brands internal and external to crypto"
robinhood is kinda incentivized to keep pushing memes from here if you look at it it lets them sell blockspace, it gives them good numbers to show and the “oh we are overtaking solana” narrative is prolly exactly the kind of thing shareholders love and understand they already made $850k in chain revenue so far, retention numbers must be pretty insane too so why would they shift to something else? its sad but as things stand, the comfort zone is to keep going for memes even if believe me i am praying they dont
the bull case for robinhood chain is rwas + their distribution you wont convince me of anything else
stablecoins, rwas, tokekized stocks they are all the same thing programmable. financial. assets. that's why crypto is a 10 trillion industry
"huh but there have already been 5+ attempts and they all failed" bad execution ≠ no demand zora, memecoins, friendtech, fantasy top, all proved one thing: people want to speculate on someone else future success nobody has nailed the product yet but the opportunity exists
very gud product good ux, works everywhere and p cheap i like a lot (need to accrue value to the token now lol please) https://t.co/kPSq8fcSzS
ondo xstocks securitize = 90%+ of the market pretty insane https://t.co/TdmtM3iofC
2026 belongs to RWA perps massive demand new assets exponential growth momentum only accelerating https://t.co/LtIvyRBaDq
prediction markets will become a better way to get exposure to projects than buying their useless token directly
"bro, wat is venice" An explanation of @AskVenice, in (very) simple terms. 🧵 $VVV https://t.co/Mlp7erHvQi
tokenized stocks growth is pretty absurd ondo: 0 → 780m in 8 months xstocks: 0 → 270m in 10 months combined they now represent ~85% of supply https://t.co/mUPc8Cm1Xb
it is interesting to see crypto naturally split into two tracks - a consumer / degen side experimenting with new ideas - and an institutional side upgrading existing systems consumer becomes the testing ground and institutions adopt what works
crypto is prolly in the best state it has ever been - hyperliquid has complete institutional attention - stablecoins ripping - total tokenized stocks ripping - aave, sky, morpho 40%+ of the total tvl - neobanks like etherfi and kast adoption up only - infra more than ready - consumer apps like fomo and polymarket doing absolute numbers massive
imagine this: asset issuers are the best business model in crypto now if one has a token and add buybacks like hyperliquid big banger?
monday mindshare: - biggest winner: ai (again), led by x402, agents and VVV - huge week for prediction markets, especially debating their long term endgame - zk back on the timeline - biggest losers: stablecoins, defi and rwas winners confirming + starting to see some rotation https://t.co/lBymMqpFKz
monday mindshare: - biggest winner: ai (by far), hitting a yearly high - ZK gaining some momentum, led by zcash - memes seeing a bit of relief with penguin hype - tough week for stablecoins and ETFs same vibe as early 25 with ai dominating https://t.co/kNhhzL0zBU
