Memecoins are just NFTs with a different name NFTs had their cycle. Memes had their cycle. Retail got wrecked on both. The people who got wrecked don't come back. Each cycle brings in new people and permanently removes some of the old ones. The trenches aren't coming back the same way 2021 NFTs aren't coming back. The money that funded that run is gone, sitting in the wallets of the 5% who got out and the exchanges that took fees on the way down. What's next is boring: revenue-producing apps. Things that generate actual cash flows. Things you could theoretically value on a spreadsheet. Nobody wants to hear this because it's not as fun as a 1000x jpeg or a dog coin. But every cycle the money flows to whatever was underpriced before everyone else figured it out. ICOs in 2017. NFTs in 2021. Memes in 2024. Skate to where the puck is going, not where it's been. It never goes back.
