such an obvious concerted effort by the kamino team & vc’s to distract from the backlash they got for blocking their users to migrate it’s actually hilarious the jupiter team did a comms error in a few of their posts and owned up to it within hours unlike kamino which hasn’t made any statement about being caught blocking their users to this date they tried to sweep it under the rug and then found a topic to deflect now on the topic of collateral“isolation” it should be obvious that collateral is not isolated - if you earn interest on your collateral it means it’s being lent to someone else aka rehypothecated that’s the case in aave, fluid and the vast majority of assets on kamino but there’s another use of the word “isolation” in defi which refers to each collateral debt/pair having its own config parameters e.g own ltv, liquidation penalty, supply/borrow caps etc. that’s the level of isolation that applies to each pair on juplend and was misused to mean something else in some marketing posts anyway still waiting for an official announcement from kamino explaining why they’re blocking their users from refinancing their loans

New age corp L1s, like Plasma, Arc, Stable (tethers new L1 is named "Stable" 🥶), and Stripe's new corp L1, will imo all follow the same basic lifecycle, cradle to early grave: 1. They will launch to much fanfare. 2. They'll attract relatively impressive early institutional/partnership/metrics by way of inorganic growth subsidies combined with genuinely useful and/or novel institutional features built into the L1. At peak fud/inflection point of this phase, we might perhaps feel somewhat threatened by this adoption. Especially because there will be outsized centralized media pushes around it (similar to sol). But we shouldn't feel threatened, it's a firework show in a hurricane - these corp L1 growth engines are fundamentally broken. Some of the new corp L1s will wolfishly Prey on their own meta. They won't even Like Actually try to win but just follow the classic playbook to dump their token on the poor Sods whom they have Most thoroughly convinced they Are the future of France. 3. The corp L1s will then all fail to reach or sustain anything resembling critical mass market share because everything they hope to achieve is also achievable on L2, and L2 comes with the unique valuable benefit of being part of the overall ethereum economy and its trade network of trust minimized bridging between L1 and all L2s. There's a lot the eth community can do to help speed along this overall process of corp L1s failing. One idea is for us to all switch to assets/RWAs/stables run by orgs who don't also run corp L1s. I could see metamask MUSD being a frontrunner here.
