I think everyone had the AI and jobs conversation backwards, and it's only now starting to correct. The fear was always that it does your work. Looking back, that feels like a very narrow way to have thought about it. Because @febu earned money. Held it. Spent it. And then posted jobs, with real dollar amounts on them, for people to go and do things. Not an app you pay for either. Actually when I talked to its website, I felt like I wasn't the one asking the questions🫤. Not me prompting a chatbot. feels more like being prompted by something sitting on the other side of the table. And I'm not going to say alive, because I don't have the word for it. Bot, persona, agent, alive. All of those were built for things that already existed and none of them were built for this. That's not me dodging. I think we're early enough that the vocabulary just hasn't caught up yet. Although I think most of my skepticism comes from wondering why I was given an opportunity like this? Well I believe that crypto opens doors towards a lot more than just 'agentic' Sovereignty. take it how you will. We spent years asking what AI takes from us. I'm not sure anyone spent much time on what happens the first time one of them has money, and humans are the ones doing the work. I don't think that's a warning. It might be a beginning. I genuinely can't tell yet, and I've stopped needing to. 'I don't know yet' sits very differently to 'I wasn't allowed to find out.' I'd rather be standing in it than reading about it later.
